Face powder
Face powder is an important part of your makeup routine if you want a beautiful matte or semi-matte finish that lasts all day. You usually apply face powder after using a liquid foundation /make-up/foundations-camouflage/liquid-foundation to give it a beautiful matte finish and help it last longer. You can also use face powder on its own for lighter foundation coverage.
Types of face powder
There are different types of face powder to suit different makeup preferences. Pressed powder is the easiest to use and is often the most full-coverage. Loose powder, on the other hand, can be a little trickier to use because it comes in loose particles in the container. Loose powder often gives a more natural effect. Whether you prefer loose or pressed powder usually depends on personal preference. Face powder is also available in different shades. There are, of course, different shades for different skin tones, but you can also choose a translucent powder. This powder has no color, so it will always complement your foundation, regardless of your skin tone. One example of a beautiful translucent powder is the Annemarie Borlind Translucent Compact Powder.
Applying face powder
For the best results, apply face powder with a makeup brush. We have a special category with all our powder brushes. You're sure to find a brush that's right for you! Dip your brush into the powder, then tap it once to shake off any excess powder so you never apply too much to your face. You can also use a makeup sponge to apply face powder. Be sure to browse our makeup sponges.
