Scrub & Exfoliation
Scrubs and Exfoliants
Scrubs and peels are easy ways to remove dead skin cells so that the skin can then renew and repair itself. You can do all of this right at home, without having to go to a beauty salon. We recommend using a scrub or peel no more than once or twice a week, as overuse can damage your skin. It’s important to know the difference between a scrub and a peel so you can make the right choice online and enjoy a product at home that’s right for you.
Scrub
A scrub removes dead skin cells using coarse granules incorporated into the product. By applying the product to your face, feet, or body with light circular motions, you manually remove the dead skin cells yourself. When using a scrub, you can also use a scrub glove. Be sure to check online carefully which body part the scrub is intended for, as a body scrub is much harsher than a facial scrub. This Zarqa scrub, for example, is specifically designed for the feet.
Exfoliation
A peel also removes dead skin cells, but this product does not contain any coarse granules. Instead, it contains a specific chemical that removes dead skin cells. As a result, peels often look like a type of gel. Be sure to check online carefully which body part the exfoliator is intended for, as a body exfoliator is much harsher than a facial exfoliator. This Darphin exfoliator, for example, is specifically designed for the face.
