John Beerens was born and raised in Tilburg. He was just 15 years old when he got his first experience in the hairdressing industry. Hard work, learning a lot, and a positive attitude already took him a long way. When he was 22, John opened his own salon in Tilburg: John Beerens Hair Studio. Soon after, he was able to call himself the Dutch Champion in his field. He continues to develop his talent and is becoming increasingly well known. The crowning achievement of John's career was winning the title of Hairdresser of the Year 2006. He received this award for his creativity, dedication, and inspiring role as a role model. He also won the Great Lengths Gold Trophy, the leading hair extension award, in 2010.

John Beerens's talent has also caught the attention of the entertainment industry. He was a judge on the first season of Holland’s Next Top Model. He has also styled the hair of many well-known Dutch personalities, such as Yke Sturm, Fedde le Grand, and Glennis Grace. The first season of John Beerens’ Salon Takeover aired at the end of 2011. In this program, John Beerens helps struggling hair salons by giving them a new look and a fresh start. With over 450,000 viewers, the program was one of the most-watched shows on RTL5. At the end of 2017, John and his wife Josephine took part in Steenrijk, Straatarm. In the show, John swaps lives for a week with a family from Tilburg-Noord. During the swap, John helps the family by buying new furniture and working as a hairdresser at home to earn money for the family whose life he has taken over.

John is currently busy every day as an entrepreneur, growing his beauty webshop, JohnBeerens.com. Exclusivity and innovation are top priorities. His goal is to become the leading beauty webshop in the Netherlands. He has brought together a team of enthusiastic beauty lovers who support him in every area.
In April 2019, we moved to a new, larger building measuring 6,000 m2! This new base is needed to get beauty products to customers quickly. Sustainability was an important consideration in developing the new building. The roof is fitted with solar panels, making us 100% self-sufficient in electricity. The building also has an A++ energy rating. Corporate social responsibility is a top priority, so the boxes we use are made exclusively from wood bearing the FSC certification.
John's hard work has paid off: JohnBeerens.com was named one of the FD Gazellen in 2018, 2019, and 2021. This award recognizes fast-growing companies. Another milestone came in November 2020, when JohnBeerens.com was named the most popular website in the fashion & beauty category at the Website of the Year awards! Further recognition followed in March 2021 with a Shopping Award.
