The Right Color of Eyebrow Dye
How do you choose the right color for dyeing your eyebrows or eyelashes? With eyelashes, it’s simple: the darker, the better and more defined. When it comes to eyebrow tinting, this isn’t always the case. If you choose a very dark color while you yourself are very blonde, the contrast might be too stark, and you could suddenly look very stern. So try to choose a color that’s as close as possible to your own hair color.
With 9 different colors, there’s a good chance you’ll find the right eyebrow dye for you, but if not, you can always mix the colors! For example, if you have very dark hair, you can combine No. 2—black eyebrow dye—with No. 3—natural brown—to achieve an intense dark brown color. Only shade 0—for blonde hair—cannot be mixed. However, you can use shade 0 first to lighten your eyebrows a bit and then use another shade for a more intense color.
Please note! For the first 2 days after dyeing, your hair may appear darker than shown on the package. This is because the dye is still trapped beneath the hair cuticles. You won't be able to see the true result until a few days have passed.
Are you still not completely satisfied with the results after dyeing your eyebrows? The eyebrow dye lasts up to 6 weeks. Then you can choose to use the same dye or color combination, or keep experimenting until you find the color you’re 100% happy with!
Applying Eyebrow Dye
- Clean the fur and skin thoroughly before you start dyeing.
- Mix the dye with the developer according to the instructions.
- The package includes an applicator stick that you can use to apply the dye to your eyebrows.
- When dyeing your eyelashes, use the protective papers.
- The longer you leave the dye on, the darker the result will be. At JohnBeerens.com, we recommend leaving the dye on for 5 to 10 minutes and checking the color of your hair periodically to make sure it doesn't turn out too dark.
- To remove the dye, use a damp cotton swab at the start of the eyebrow and swipe it toward the other side to pick up all the dye. Keep repeating this process until the dye is gone.
- Any paint that gets on the skin will come off on its own after a few days.
