How to care for blonde hair? Choose optimal care with the Redken Blondage High Bright line!

It’s time for another review, and this time it’s all about Redken’s amazing Blondage High Bright line! As a blogger at JohnBeerens.com, I’m often lucky enough to try out products so I can give you the inside scoop on what I think of them and what they’ve done for my hair. When I try out products, I always pay close attention to several factors: What does the packaging look like? What do the products smell like? What’s the texture like? In this blog, I’m reviewing the products in the Redken Blondage High Bright line. This line delivers bright blonde results between salon visits, so your hair color always looks beautiful, even if it takes a little longer to get to the salon.

My first impression of the Redken Blondage High Bright line is already great. I think the products have a beautiful, luxurious look, and the packaging color is lovely too. These are definitely products you’ll want to display in your bathroom.

Balayage, dark, light, or ash blonde? With the products in the Blondage High Bright line, your blonde locks will always look beautiful.

The line consists of a shampoo, conditioner, and treatment. The Brightening Care Complex and vitamin C remove impurities that make your hair look darker, dull, and lifeless. The products are 100% vegan and specially formulated for bleached, blonde, and color-treated hair.

I naturally have dark blonde hair, and I always ask my hairdresser for a balayage. I don’t go to the salon very often, but that’s what I like about balayage. It’s fine to have some roots showing, and it’s not a hairstyle that needs to be touched up very often. At least, that’s been my experience, because the bleached color is quite close to my natural hair color.

I usually wash my hair two or three times a week with a moisturizing, nourishing shampoo, and once a week with purple shampoo and a hair mask. My hair always looks its best after I’ve washed it with purple shampoo, so I was really curious about these Redken products because they’re also supposed to give hair that cool tone I love. Redken Blondage High Bright Pre-Treatment – the treatment for healthy, radiant blonde hair

First, wet your hair, then apply this treatment to your hair. The amount depends a little on how many pumps you use. For long hair, we recommend about 12 pumps, distributed throughout the hair, and about 6 pumps should be enough for medium-length hair.

To start, I put a small pump in my hand so I could get a good feel for the texture. It feels somewhere between an oil and a serum, and smells really nice. When I applied it to my hair and ran my fingers through it, my hair immediately felt healthy and cared for. Leave the treatment on for 5 to 10 minutes. I usually use that time to apply a scrub and wash my body with a lovely body wash. Of course, you can also wet your hair under the tap, apply the treatment, and wrap your hair in a towel. That way, you don’t have to stand in the shower for 10 minutes and can get on with other things around the house. It might be a little better for your water bill (even though it can be so nice to spend a long time in the shower every now and then).

Blondage High Bright Shampoo – the shampoo for bright blonde hair

After about 10 minutes, the treatment has been on long enough, and it’s time to wash your hair with shampoo. Apply the shampoo to your hair without rinsing out the treatment first.

I put the shampoo in my hand and noticed that quite a lot came out of the bottle right away, and that the shampoo felt quite runny. I quickly had more in my hand than I wanted or needed, so that’s something to keep in mind. Just squeeze gently and you’ll have plenty. Since the shampoo felt runny, I was really curious to see whether it would lather well. I applied the shampoo to my hair (which still had the treatment in it) and it lathered really well right away, filling my shower with a wonderful scent. Of course, it’s hard to describe a scent, but all the products have a lovely, luxurious fragrance. It’s exactly the kind of scent your hair has when you leave the salon. I always love how my hair smells after a salon visit, and now I get to enjoy that every time I use these products.

Then I rinse the shampoo and treatment out of my hair, and one thing I noticed was that my hair felt incredibly cared for right away. Sometimes shampoo can leave your hair feeling rough. That definitely wasn’t the case with these products.

I always wash my hair twice with shampoo. So the second time, I knew not to squeeze the bottle too hard, because a lot comes out quickly! It lathered really well the second time too, and my hair felt super soft. I usually only get that feeling after using conditioner, but not with these products.

Blondage High Bright Conditioner – the finishing touch for beautiful blonde locks

Your hair has now been treated with a pre-treatment and washed with shampoo. It’s always important to use conditioner after shampooing, and of course, this line has a conditioner too. I applied it to the lengths of my hair and, even though it doesn’t say so on the packaging, left it on for about 3 to 5 minutes. I feel like conditioner always needs some time to penetrate the hair properly and nourish my dry ends. Then I rinsed it out thoroughly, bringing my hair-washing routine to an end.

What did I think of the results from the Redken Blondage High Bright products?

After washing my hair, I always apply a heat protectant and blow-dry it, then style it with a blow-dry brush or flat iron.

Well, seriously, I was so happy when I saw my hair! The color was seriously beautiful, with exactly the cool undertone I’m always looking for. My hair tends to get an orange tint, and it had completely disappeared. Do you also get an orange tint, or perhaps a really yellow one? These products are definitely suitable for that too.

I even got compliments on my hair from friends, and a few of them asked if I’d been to the salon. Of course, I immediately recommended these products to all of them, because the difference is really noticeable after using them. My hair also looked much healthier, which I owe to the treatment, of course. They’re definitely a must-have in my washing routine from now on. I try not to wash my hair too often, but when wash day finally comes around, I get really excited. I still use purple shampoo once a week, and I definitely recommend doing that too. I recommend pairing these products with Redken Color Extend Blondage Purple Shampoo. It’s another lovely-smelling shampoo that neutralizes unwanted yellow tones thanks to the violet pigments it contains. Alternating between these different shampoos helps them work together to deliver a cool, bright blonde result.

The product is described as delivering bright blonde results between salon visits, and it definitely does. I’m a fan!
