How Should I Use Hydrogen Peroxide?

Hydrogen peroxide should only be used when coloring hair. Make sure not to use it when the hair is not being colored. Add a small amount of the oxidant to the hair dye. The two should be mixed well to form a liquid mixture. Then apply the liquid mixture to the hair as instructed on the hair dye packaging. Leave it on for a while to achieve the best results. Then rinse the hair thoroughly until all the dye and oxidant have been washed out. Next, wash the hair with a good shampoo, such as a shampoo for color-treated hair. Then apply conditioner to nourish the hair, and rinse it out as well. The hair can then be styled.

What Percentage of Hydrogen Peroxide Should You Use?

The percentage of hydrogen peroxide you need depends on how light you want your hair to be. The higher the percentage of hydrogen peroxide, the lighter your hair will become. You can use 3% hydrogen peroxide if you want to go one shade lighter. To go 2 or 3 shades lighter, you should use 6% hydrogen peroxide.
