Heat is not good for your hair. That's important to remember before styling. We'd be happy to share some tips to reduce damage: If you have fine, thin, damaged, or color-treated hair, 180 degrees is hot enough to straighten it. For long, thick, or very curly hair, you can increase the temperature to around 230 degrees. Always remember to apply heat protectant beforehand. Five seconds per section with a heat tool is more than enough. And as logical as it may seem, going over the same section three times with your straightener won't help. It won't damage your hair, but if you glide smoothly and firmly over the section, one pass is usually enough. A natural-bristle brush can also help you achieve perfectly straight hair. Brush through the section once, then straighten it with your iron. You'll see that one pass is often enough.

How often to straighten
We recommend avoiding daily use of the flat iron. We recommend straightening your hair every 2 to 3 days. If you notice signs of damage, we recommend using the flat iron less frequently. Also, make sure to use a good heat protectant. This also has a major effect on how your hair reacts to the flat iron.

Create curls with a flat iron
You can use a hair straightener not only to straighten your hair, but also to curl it. Below are the steps to follow to create beautiful curls. We’ve also written a blog about it before. 1.Place a section of hair between the plates of your straightener.
2.Close the straightener and turn it backward (away from your face).
3.Turn the straightener until it is horizontal.
4.Now slowly glide the section down through the straightener.
5.For a more edgy effect, don’t curl the ends.
6.The more slowly you glide your hair through the straightener, the tighter your curl will be!
7.To create a messy look, occasionally twist a section in the opposite direction. Extra tip: for the best effect, twist all the sections around your face away from your face.
